| Are your business and personal lives in balance?
For the sake of your sanity, the health of your relationships
and, yes, even the success of your business, your business and
personal lives need to be in balance. Many small business owners
spend so much time on their businesses that they hardly have any
time for their families or even themselves. Often this is more a
symptom of chaos, disorganization and lack of clarity than
anything else. Ask yourself these questions and see how balanced
your life is. Do you work less than 50 hours a week? Do you have
enough time to complete everything you need to get done? Do you
have an assistant to handle details for you? Answering these
questions can give you a clue as to how well you are delegating
tasks, trusting your employees or building your team. Do you
exercise regularly? Do you spend quality time with the people
you care about most? Are you saving for the future? Are you
proud and satisfied with the way you conduct your business and
private lives? Our businesses should be a means by which we
attain life goals. For far too many small business owners, the
business IS the life goal.
Are your days planned out? Are you happy with the amount of
money you take out of the business? I think there is some food
for thought here, dont you?
